The Republic of Albania has entered the process of European Integration. in this context, Albania and its institutions have to face new challenges, such as the implementation of the Readmission Agreement between EC and Albania, as part of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU.

This Training Seminar aims at providing the Albanian Border Police and Migration officials with the necessary knowledge and instruments to effectively implement the Readmission Agreement between the EC and the Republic of Albania and to successfully execute the policy concerning the return migration through the identification, verification of the documents, better management of data on returnees, respect of EU and international standards concerning returnees' human rights.  The seminar focuses mainly on the content of the Readmission Agreement,  its procedures and obligations, as well as on the concrete tasks of the Border and Migration Police regarding its implementation. The activity is organized as part of  the project  "Building on mechanisms to effectively and sustainably implement readmission agreements between Albania, the EC and concerned third countries,"  co-funded by the European Commission and the Hellenic Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization.
